Going Viral and Turning a Profit


This video featuring lighter cases that I hand make was posted on my own personal art account page and went viral overnight. Within a week, the video had amassed over 6 million views, almost 2,000 comments, 8,000 new followers and resulted in the complete sell-out of the product featured in the video. This video was a huge success for myself as it not only resulted in a significant increase in traffic and sales, but it also helped to establish a loyal, profitable following. In order to capitalize on this success, I continued to make similar content to keep my audience engaged. This approach proved to be effective as it helped to promote release dates and resulted in products selling out within just a few hours. The viral video was a key catalyst in establishing a loyal and profitable following that has remained consistent since the video was posted.

 

Capitalizing off (Ramen) Trends


During a routine nightly browsing on social media, I received a message from the chef at my workplace sharing a new ramen recipe trend that had been spotted on TikTok. Seeing an opportunity, we quickly jumped on board and shot a video of the recipe that week. The video was posted to the work's social media account by the weekend. The video performed well initially, but after a few weeks, the view count drastically increased, and it caught on quickly. Soon, the video had over 150,000 views. This viral video allowed us to gain a small but engaged following while also promoting a product that does not receive enough attention. This success demonstrate how capitalizing on timely trends and social media can help drive engagement and boost the visibility of specific products and the brand.

 

Quick Action, Even at Home


The world of social media is constantly changing and evolving, and as a result, brands often struggle to maintain engagement on their pages. One brand in particular was experiencing a decline in engagement and wanted to find a way to boost it. As a Digital Marketing Specialist I am always staying on top of trends and the ever changing landscape of social media, I understood the current algorithm and knew that video content was becoming increasingly important. In order to improve engagement, I quickly created a video from the comfort of my living room, using my knowledge of the brand, design, video editing and how to create meaningful content to make a successful video.
